Quick Recap
The party explored Feymott, followed up on suspicious activity around their lodging, investigated rumors about the House of Green Tiles, delivered Splinter’s mysterious package, and accepted a guard job escorting a locked iron chest to Friula.
Summary
Night Watch and Suspicious Activity
During the night, Splinter and Rock heard voices outside their room mentioning that “the big ones are in that room.” Two pairs of footsteps moved quietly down the corridor toward the stairs. Splinter alerted the others, and the party wedged chairs under doors and stayed vigilant, but nothing further happened.
Exploring Feymott
In the morning, the party paid for another night at the inn and explored Feymott. The town is built on hills, filled with windmills, and has a population of roughly 13,000. The party visited several inns to check job boards, including the Apple and Bridle, the Blue Cup, and the Miller’s Rest.
House of Green Tiles
The party found multiple references to the House of Green Tiles on notice boards. The innkeeper at the Apple and Bridle described it as an asylum for people who are “not all there” and whom others “want to not be around.”
The party observed the building: a tired-looking stone mansion with green tiles, barred windows, a spiked wall, and armed guards. They heard rumors about a covered cart leaving from Green Tiles at dawn without the usual screaming, and scholars seemed to be connected to the place somehow. Splinter heard faint crying or wailing from inside, but the party decided not to investigate further for now.
Splinter’s Package Delivery
Splinter successfully delivered a mysterious waxed package to Aunt Selli at the candle shop in the windmill quarter. During the exchange, Anseli concealed both the package and the payment — eight silver coins — inside candles. Splinter rejoined the party at the Miller’s Rest without incident.
Guard Job to Friula
At the Blue Cup, the party found a notice seeking a guard for a locked chest bound for Friula. The notice required someone literate or convincingly quiet. They negotiated with Ilar Venca, a well-dressed and careful representative of Velden-Dorne Comptorium, for 12 silver to guard a small iron chest on a journey expected to take six or seven days.
The party confirmed that one of their axe beaks could carry the chest, and Venca arranged to meet them at the Blue Cup in the morning for departure.
Next Steps
